Romancing a gangster!

Gangster movies in Bollywood, are quite popular as they come with a contoversial life sketches of underworld dons, whose private lives are a secret to us. Their personal life becomes easy fodder for audience as they are dark, morose, thrilling yet intriguing. Few ganster movies which really got famous and made the genre really popular are Satya, company, Vaastav, D, Once Upon a time in Mumbaai, Gangster, besides some others.
The sequel to ‘Once upon a Time in Mumbaai’, will see a complete new starcast, with Akshay playing the role of Dawood and Sonakshi as his love interest. As Akshay and Sonakshi are already doing two films together, their chemistry is said to be so good that Ekta Kapoor and Milan Luthria finalised them for the flick almost instantly.
The trailor of director Anurag Basu’s underworld drama ‘Gangster’ generated worldwide publicity as it was supposedly based on gangster Abu Salem’s life.  Though the whole story was not based on ‘Abu Salem’s life but parallels were drawn between the two characters and the flick was widely appreciated. While Shiney Ahuja played the role of ‘Abu Salem’, Kangna played his love interest. Her reel life role had resemblance with Salem's once good friend, Monica Bedi.
Kangna Ranaut actually met Sona (wife of Haji Mastan) to prepare for her role in ‘Once Upon a time in Mumbaai’. While Ajay Devgn played the role of Haji Mastan, Kangna played actress Rehana who was supposedly Haji Mastan’s love interest. Also, in the same movie, Prachi Desai played Emraan Hashmi’s love interest whose character was supposedly based on Dawood Ibrahim.
Gangster movies not only deal with the psyche of the underworld dons in normal living conditions but, also add romance as an interesting backdrops.
